Common questions
Which TILEXO product should I use for vitrified tiles?
ST2 Gold is our all-rounder for vitrified and ceramic tiles on floors and walls. For large-format vitrified tiles (600 × 1200 mm and up) use ST3 Diamond, and for very large or heavy slabs use ST4 Platinum. The product finder will pick for you.
How much adhesive is required for 100 sq. ft?
At a 3 mm bed, 100 sq. ft (about 9.3 m²) needs roughly 42 kg, which is about 2–3 bags of 20 kg. Thicker beds for bigger tiles need more. Use the calculator for your exact job.
Can TILEXO be used for wall tiles?
Yes. ST2 Gold, ST3 Diamond and ST4 Platinum are tested slip resistant (T) for vertical fixing. ST1 Silver is meant for floor tiling.
How should tile adhesive be mixed?
Measure clean water first (250–275 ml per kg depending on grade, about 5–5.5 litres per 20 kg bag), add the powder while stirring, let it stand for 5 minutes, then re-mix to a smooth paste. Never add extra water later.
How long should the adhesive be allowed to set?
You can adjust tiles for 25–40 minutes depending on the grade. Wait 24 hours before grouting or walking on the floor.
Can I use TILEXO outdoors?
All four grades are formulated for internal floor and wall tiling. Talk to us before using any grade on an exterior surface.
