Reading the classification
What Type, T and S mean
Type 1–4 is the IS 15477:2019 class. Higher types must meet higher tensile and shear adhesion minimums and are tested under more conditions (wet and heat-aged).
T means slip resistant: a tile on a vertical surface slides no more than 0.5 mm before the adhesive sets.
S1 / S2 is deformability: how much the adhesive can flex with the surface. S1 is deformable (2.5–5 mm), S2 is highly deformable (5 mm and above).
